French Quarter Festival 2023: Job Opportunities

Call for: Operations Intern for the 2023 French Quarter Festival presented by Chevron
Start date: July – August 2022. Flexible hours with a mutually agreeable schedule, Monday through Friday.

SPECIAL FOCUS: 40th Anniversary Celebration Preparations – working with archive materials, digitization, organization. Cross departmental assistance, physical tasks – to be completed in office, located in French Quarter.

ROLE FUNCTION: French Quarter Festival is run by a non-profit organization team of eight individuals who are the leaders of their own respective departments. The Operations Department, led by the Operations Director, is in need of in office support at various times of year, and in relation to specific projects. The Operations Intern is an extension of the non-profit organization and the Operations Director, and plays a vital role in planning and preparing for French Quarter Festival. The role includes getting a comprehensive knowledge of the Operations Department, accomplishing a variety of production-related tasks, and coordinating with the valuable vendors and suppliers. The Operations Intern will be privy to private and confidential material and contracts, and is expected to act professionally in all matters. If working during the festivals, Intern will play a critical role during load-in and setup of the event.
