The Zydeco Gators was established by Gerard Delafose in 2007. Gerard is a 3rd generation Zydeco Musician. He is the grandson of the late great John Delafose and the nephew of the legendary Geno Delafose. Gerard has been playing the accordion for over 20 years. He first picked it up when he was only 8 years old. He grew up learning from the best, and will surely bring that legendary Zydeco sound that we all grew up loving! Gerard Delafose and The Zydeco Gators mix up their own fresh funky groove from double beats, straight beats, triple beats, waltz, bluesy and slow belly rubbing dancing sounds into the music they play. They also uphold a high standard of professional ethic, while knowing how to entertain even the toughest of crowds!
