The original bass player for The Jokers, Cullen was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in 1998. In his career he has shared the bandstand with Bobby Mitchell, Roland Stone, Ernie K-Doe, Clyde McPhatter, Eddie Bo, Eddie Roth, Professor Longhair, Al "Carnival Time" Johnson and many others. Cullen is the bassist and leader of the band. His goal is to preserve the New Orleans musical heritage encompassed by the ground-breaking New Orleans music of the 1950's and 1960's and introduce it to new generations.
